Whose signatures are on the documents? The Turin public prosecutor's office is reportedly intending to ask for a new expert's report on the signatures attributable to Marella Caracciolo placed on some documents seized, together with devices and computers, during the search carried out as part of the investigation into alleged tax fraud, in relation to the inheritance of the woman, wife of the lawyer and mother of Margherita Agnelli
Pm's suspicions
.During the searches, the magistrates acquired the originals of these documents and therefore now intend to repeat the checks already carried out on the copies. The analyses already carried out, as had been reported in recent days, would, according to the magistrates, have revealed that the signatures in question were of a 'reasonably apocryphal nature' on 'some important documents', such as 'testamentary additions' and also on 'rental contracts of Italian real estate'.
The investigation
All this comes in the wake of the complicated battle over Gianni Agnelli's inheritance brought by Margherita Agnelli against her children John, Lapo and Ginevra Elkann.
A focus on the trust companies of the group controlled by the Agnelli family has been activated by the Turin Public Prosecutor's Office, with the Guardia di Finanza acquiring documentation in the office of a notary. According to information, the file was opened after a complaint presented by Margherita Agnelli, daughter of Gianni Agnelli. Three people have been entered in the register of suspects. According to Ansa from informed sources, they are Gianluca Ferrero, an accountant from Turin, Robert Von Groueningen, administrator of Marella Agnelli's estate on behalf of the Swiss judicial authority, and John Elkann, son of Margherita Agnelli, who lodged the complaint that triggered the investigation by the subalpine magistrates.
The lawyers' response
.In the meantime, the lawyers of John Elkann and Gianluca Ferrero, who are involved in the Turin magistrates' investigation into Marella Agnelli's inheritance, have filed a petition with the review court regarding the search decree issued by the Turin prosecutor's office. The measure concerns both the documentation and the seized computer systems.
