Leitner, endowment of 85 million for ski lifts

More than 85 million euros invested to upgrade and renovate ski lifts by 2025. This is the value of what Leitner, the Italian multinational of the High technology industries (HTI) Group and leader in the sector, has invested. A sign of recovery coming from the snow industry, with consortia and companies managing ski lifts in the front line, which continue to invest to reduce waits, improve comfort and the experience of fans and, in some cases, deseasonalise the activity.

There are 18 ropeways by Leitner, which has also built an inclined lift in Val di Fiemme that will be used for the next Winter Olympics. This lift is next to the ski jump and will lead directly from the landing area to the ski jump, with two intermediate stops in the judges' tower and the coaches' seats. This project also includes the modernisation of the artificial snow system by Demaclenko, another company of the Hti group.

In Valle Aurina, nel comprensorio sciistico Speikboden, debutta una seggiovia a 6 posti, primo impianto al mondo del tipo “Ropera”, nuovo standard di Leitner per le funivie monofune ad alta efficienza e flessibilità. In Alta Badia invece è stato fornito un impianto, una cabinovia a 10 posti, con vista sulle Dolomiti che sarà operativo tutto l’anno. Lo stesso a Folgaria dove una società pubblico-privato ha permesso la sostituzione della vecchia seggiovia a due posti, chiusa nel 2022, con una cabinovia a 10 posti che nelle intenzioni supporterà lo sviluppo turistico dell’area. Sempre in Trentino è stato realizzato un impianto che collega il Sellaronda al Passo Pordoi verso la Val di Fassa. Altro investimento per potenziare la capacità di trasporto con le cabine da 10 posti è quello nell’area di Carezza dove si crea un collegamento continuo tra Nova Levante e il Passo Carezza. In the Pila ski resort in Valle d'Aosta, the gondola lift connecting Pila to Couis 1 was delivered, which integrates with the route, in service since last year, leading to the panoramic restaurant Stella del Couis, which can be reached from Aosta in half an hour. In Piedmont, investments were made to improve connections to the Turra plateau. Two historic four-seater chairlifts were also renewed, the first in the 'Valle dei Nibbi' in the Campo Felice ski resort in Abruzzo and the other in Friuli, in Sella Nevea in the latter case thanks to the long-standing cooperation with the operator Promoturismo. Along the Apennines in Bologna, in the Corno alle Scale area, a two-seater chairlift was delivered. In addition to these major facilities, six ski lifts were delivered between South Tyrol and Trentino.
