"Tomorrow's deadline for the two-year composition agreement will be kept. We are seeing the results, we could take stock tomorrow because it is clear that we will only acquire the elements when the game closes'. This was stated by Maurizio Leo, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, on the sidelines of the conference 'Collaborative compliance: clear pacts, for strong companies' organised by Confindustria Lombardia, Assolombarda, Confindustria, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Revenue Agency.

On the scrapping Leo said: 'There are several topics on the table, we will see if we can find a synthesis in agreement with all the majority forces'. The government's focus is on the middle class: 'We are working for the middle class and then there are a whole series of other proposals. Now the majority table will examine them, we will see the coverage, in short, the work is in progress,' the deputy minister continued. The cut in the Irpef tax from 35% to 33% for incomes up to 50,000 euro "is one of the hypotheses, in short, the entire majority is focusing on the middle class, now let's see how to find the resources because everything is linked to this," he added.

On the subject of the banks' extra profits, 'we have said that we will sit down at a table and as we did last year we can do it this year. In maximum agreement we will see if we can find solutions'.
