Leonardo: expands partnership with Microsoft in the digital sector; Digital Horizon gets underway
(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Leonardo is expanding its strategic partnership with Microsoft Italia and launching “an ambitious programme” to support the group’s digital transformation through initiatives focused on innovating tools and ways of working. The ‘Digital Horizon – A New Era of Collaboration’ project, developed in partnership with Microsoft, according to a press release, provides the conceptual framework for the introduction of the Microsoft 365 cloud productivity platform and generative artificial intelligence within the company, with the aim of fostering new ways of collaborating and supporting the gradual integration of AI into work processes, whilst harnessing the potential of Copilot.
Digital Horizon, the statement explains, marks a significant step forward in Leonardo’s digital transformation, providing around 50,000 people across the group with the modern tools offered by the Microsoft Teams platform, enabling them to collaborate in real time and work remotely in an increasingly seamless and effective manner, thanks to the synchronisation of documents and communications on Microsoft OneDrive and Outlook within the Microsoft cloud. Individuals and teams will also have access at any time to an AI assistant that is integrated and contextually aware within the corporate environment, and will be able to utilise Microsoft 365 Copilot to support the creation, analysis and summarisation of content within a secure and trusted environment.
