Lepontina, the new student residence located in the lively Isola district of Milan and developed on a 2,400 sqm building offering 120 beds for young students, managed by Joivy - the first platform in Europe to combine residential solutions for short, medium and long term. The opening of Lepontina is a further step in Joivy's commitment to provide innovative and high-quality housing solutions for university students. With a focus on integrating spaces open to the public, the Campus also offers a wide range of services designed to make life more stimulating for students and the Milanese community.

Restructuring with an eye on sustainability

The design and supply of the furnishings for the entire Campus was handled by Rinnow!, Joivy's Design&Build facility, which combined design and comfort to create a modern and welcoming environment. High-quality materials and a special care for details contribute to create a unique atmosphere. The structure meets the highest standards of environmental sustainability, thanks to the presence of eco-friendly furnishings, green plant engineering (photovoltaic panels, air conditioning/heating system with heat pump, water consumption compensation systems) and a plastic and paper free approach (insertion of naturalisers to provide drinking water directly in the structure and 90% reduction in paper and printer consumption).

Agreement housing

At a time when the issue of high rents for students is central, Joivy has committed itself with this student residence to guaranteeing a quality offer in the city centre at moderate rents. Federico Galardi, Joivy's general manager for Italy, says: "Lepontina will offer students a modern and welcoming environment, with private spaces combined with common areas for socialising, open not only to the student residence's guests. In addition, this new campus marks an important step in our mission to provide high-quality residential solutions with a special focus on our commitment to sustainability and ecological design".
Designed, comfortable and functional spacesThe building has eight floors, including a basement, and offers single and some double rooms, all with private bathrooms, equipped with a fridge and microwave oven and furnished in a modern way, with solutions designed to offer maximum space and comfort. In addition, in the large shared spaces, there is an industrial kitchen with individual stations, inspired by the "Masterchef" model, ideal for dinners and lunches with friends, a gym furnished exclusively with Technogym equipment, and a large 300-square metre outdoor garden that adds a touch of tranquillity and beauty to the place.
In addition, Lepontina also hosts a space open to the public that follows the model of the Open by Joivy hub located in Porta Romana and includes a bar and refreshment area - soon to be opened - that offers the possibility of having breakfast or a coffee break, having a meal with friends and relaxing with a drink after a busy day, and a coworking space with 40 workstations that enjoy the splendid natural light coming in through the large windows. In this way, young professionals, companies, start-ups, entrepreneurs and students in the city of Milan have an extra space to work, study, meet and create connections.
Valerio Fonseca, Joivy's CEO, says: "We are really satisfied with the excellent and effective collaboration carried out in recent years with Green Stone Sicaf, which has allowed the opening of this splendid student house in one of Milan's most vibrant neighbourhoods".
Domenico Cefaly, ceo of Green Stone Sicaf, as the manager of the real estate division that owns the asset adds: "The student residence is part of a larger real estate project managed and developed by our Sicaf, which also includes a residential component called -Scalo House-, the delivery of the property to Joivy represents a further important milestone in this investment".
