LexSA, the AI assistant built by tax professionals for tax professionals, which automates manual tasks allowing the professional to focus on clients and high value-added activities, is the winning start-up of DigithON 2025, proclaimed on stage in Piazza Castello in Bisceglie. Presenting the award - a cheque for EUR 10,000 offered by Confindustria Bari and BAT - were founder Francesco Boccia and Mario Aprile, president of Confindustria Bari and BAT.

The Milanese start-up LexSA also won the acceleration path put up for grabs by EY, while second place went to myINDUSTRIES, a start-up from Romagna that develops intelligent modular robots to automate industrial processes with the aim of making advanced robotics accessible to all companies, starting with small and medium-sized ones. The team was also awarded the BINP Prize. Bronze medal to the Veneto-based IpaziaSpace project, the first European green and modular solid motor for space micro-launchers and drones. Economical, efficient and ready to fly, it is proposed as the European answer to the growing need for independent, sustainable and safe access to space, and was also awarded by ESA BIC.

Among the other prizes awarded by the partner companies of the digital marathon - for a total prize pool of over 50,000 euros - Vanto Collaborative Robotic Systems was awarded the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Centre's Sustainability and Circular Economy prize: the Lucania-based start-up is developing a rental service dedicated to large vineyard owners, offering a sustainable and efficient solution - with 30% lower costs - for soil and canopy management through fleets of autonomous robotic tractors.

QSENSATO, a startup from Puglia, presented atomic quantum sensors for ultra-precise measurements and won the prize awarded by the Gruppo Fs, and was also chosen by the Distretto produttivo dell'Informatica; blendX - a modular and AI-driven platform for innovation management - won the prize from Gobeyond, Sisal's open innovation programme. KaiMed, a startup from Lombardy that is building an explainable artificial intelligence platform to help doctors diagnose complex cases through Knowledge Graphs and AI Agents won the AWS award, while the Milan-based startup NEWERA, which is revolutionising the way cities manage light, traffic, security and data, starting with street lamps, transforming each lamppost into an intelligent node within a connected and dynamic network, with AI and computer vision, won the COREAngel for climate award.

"These first 10 years have been the sowing, the next 10 - with the Foundation led by Michele Ruta of Bari Polytechnic - will be the harvest," said Francesco Boccia. 'We have a network,' he added, 'that counts more than 2,000 start-ups: of these more than 1,000 have come onto this stage, many have become large, real companies that, by breaking the mould, have changed the rules of the market. I would like to thank Confindustria Bari and BAT, which believed in us from the very first moment'.
