AscoltaMi' for the psychological support of pupils kicks off: here's how it works
Available from Thursday 28 May on the Unica platform: the voucher for the three online meetings with a psychologist must be requested by parents
by Eugenio Bruno and Claudio Tucci
On Thursday 28 May 2026, the AscoltaMi service for psychological support to students in the last year of middle school and the first two years of high school will start. It is offered by the Ministry of Education and Merit, in cooperation with the National Council of the Order of Psychologists (Cnop).
Available on Unica
The explicit aim of AscoltaMI is to offer students a listening and counselling service, not a therapeutic one, to deal with situations of fragility and vulnerability that may arise in adolescence, preventing situations of discomfort that often hinder processes and participation in school life.
The service will be offered through MIM's Unica platform, by videoconference and on an individual and voluntary basis, through the use, once only during the school year, of a voucher that will guarantee five meetings with expert psychologists, each lasting 60 minutes, with the exception of the first meeting which will last 70 minutes to allow the individual student to agree with the professional on the modalities and timing of the service.
Three phases
The functionality of the service will consist of three steps: the parents of interested students will apply for the voucher via the Single Platform.
Once the application is complete, they will proceed, within 30 days of the allocation of the benefit, to choose the professional psychologist to whom they will entrust the cycle of meetings.
