According to the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, they changed the arrival times of the heart from Bolzano. Suspension from practice also requested
New developments in the investigation into the death of little Domenico, the child who had a damaged heart transplanted at the Monaldi hospital in Naples. There is a further charge for two doctors involved in the tragedy, who are now also under investigation for forgery.
The investigation by the Naples Public Prosecutor's Office
The Naples Public Prosecutor's Office is also accusing two of the seven doctors already under investigation for the child's death of perjury. They are the heart surgeon Guido Oppido, the doctor who performed the transplant, and the second surgeon Emma Bergonzoni: for both of them, the Gip has been asked for an interdictory measure of suspension from exercising the medical profession and they will be heard at the end of the month. According to the investigators, the suspects allegedly changed the arrival times of the heart from Bolzano to Naples. The two doctors are already charged with the crime of negligent manslaughter in conspiracy.
