Logicor - among the leading owners, managers and developers of logistics real estate in Europe - has started work on a new warehouse of about 13,600 square metres within the logistics park in Rolo (Reggio Emilia), consolidating its presence in Italy

The project, to be completed at the end of 2024, involves the construction of a new sustainable warehouse on an industrial site of approximately 22,300 square metres owned by the Mazer fund, a closed-end real estate investment fund managed by Kryalos Sgr.
The new building will further expand the offer of the logistics hub in Rolo, reaching 130,000 sqm of warehouses, thus confirming it as the largest hub in Logicor's portfolio in Italy.

The Rolo park is located in the province of Reggio Emilia, in a strategic area among the main markets in the logistics sector in Italy: 75 kilometres south of Bologna and 38 kilometres north of Modena, it is just a few minutes from the entrance to the A22-Brenner motorway. The building has several features to limit its impact on the environment, including a 1 MW photovoltaic system, LED lighting, charging stations and an Nfpa sprinkler system. Once completed, the building will be Breeam Very Good certified. General Contractor Beg Ingénierie Italia and Project and Construction Manager Progeca srl are collaborating on the new Logicor development project.

"The logistics park in Rolo," explained Graeme Hepburn, country manager Italy of Logicor, "represents one of the most successful development projects undertaken by Logicor in Italy in recent years. It is the perfect example of our growth strategy in markets considered strategic for the flow of goods and services and the importance of establishing long-term partnerships with local institutions. Emilia-Romagna is a key region, as demonstrated by the pipeline projects we have in this very area'.

With real estate, managed and owned, of over 2.6 million square metres in Lombardy, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna and Lazio, Logicor continues its growth plan in Italy, through the development and redevelopment of logistics poles in the most strategically important locations for the distribution of goods.
