Eight children were killed in a shooting in Shreveport, in Lousiana. Seven of them were children of the killer, identified as 31-year-old Shamar Elkins. Shortly before the insane act, the man posted a photo on social media with one of his daughters holding a hamburger. According to reports, Elkins also shot and injured the mother of the children, all aged between one and 14. A massacre that appears to have stemmed from 'domestic violence'. The perpetrator, at first on the run, was hunted down and shot by the police.
"The individual responsible, after leaving the scene, got into a car and fled. A police patrol pursued him," the officers said. During the pursuit there was a firefight and the attacker was killed, the officers again reported.
