Luca Lucci, former AC Milan ultras chief, sentenced to eighteen years for drug dealing
The historic member of the Rossoneri's curva Sud was convicted of international drug trafficking. He allegedly moved over three tonnes of hashish and marijuana
The former leader of Milan's Curva Sud, Luca Lucci, was sentenced this morning to 18 years and 8 months in prison for international drug trafficking. The decision was taken by the gup of the Court of Milan, Giulia Masci, as part of an abbreviated trial involving 23 defendants. Lucci's sentence is the highest among those handed down.
The Process
The case had stemmed from the investigation into the ambush on Enzo Anghinelli on 12 April 2019, an attempted murder for which the former head of the Sud was recognised as mandante last June, when he was sentenced to 10 years in prison at first instance. An in-depth investigation by the Milan mobile squad triggered the investigation of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate, which uncovered a hashish and marijuana trafficking ring at the head of which, according to prosecutors Leonardo Lesti and Rosario Ferracane, was Lucci. The ultras boss was accused of being at the helm of a veritable criminal association that between June 2020 and March 2021 would have handled over three tonnes of drugs. This conviction is the latest that stems from the 'Doppia Curva' investigation, which since September 2024 has dismantled the board of the organised fans of Inter and Milan, revealing a criminal association aimed at extortion, violence and drug trafficking, with mafia aggravating factors linked to the 'ndrangheta.
