On board a train to discover the wonders of the world
Luxury holidays from Paris to the Amalfi Coast
From Paris to the Amalfi Coast aboard the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express, A Belmond Train (https://www.belmond.com/trains/europe/venice-simplon-orient-express). This is the new route that from spring 2026 will make it possible to enjoy the special experience of holidaying by train, connecting Europe's most romantic cities with the iconic Belmond hotels. In fact, the train will depart from Paris to reach the Amalfi Coast, with a stop in the ancient city of Pompeii. After taking part in an exclusive tour of the ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, guests will arrive at the Caruso, A Belmond Hotel, Amalfi Coast, in Ravello, where the property's unrivalled location overlooking the sea and timeless elegance promise an unforgettable stay along Italy's most spectacular coastline. Here they will be immersed in the most authentic essence of the region with experiences that offer a true taste of the rich local traditions. Complementing this historic debut, the 2026 season also introduces new Italian itineraries culminating in Venice and Florence, each offering a three-night journey that celebrates the romance of Paris by train and the art, tradition and hospitality that distinguish Belmond hotels. With the classic train itinerary to Venice, guests can stay at Hotel Cipriani, the most elegant retreat in the lagoon, while those travelling to Florence can end the itinerary with a stay in the hills of Fiesole at Villa San Michele, A Belmond Hotel, Florence, which will celebrate its grand re-opening in spring 2026. While with the return of the Paris Portofino route, travellers will take a journey linking the French and Italian Rivieras, completing the magical experience of a rail adventure with a stay in the legendary Splendido, A Belmond Hotel, Portofino, which, following its long-awaited reopening in summer 2025, marks the beginning of a new era thanks to the extraordinary renovation led by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio.
