We are at the Its Demos in Campobasso. Started in 2012 with a course in the agri-food sector, today the courses have grown to five and range from new technologies to fashion. There are 140 students.
The cutting-edge training offer
.The courses are 1,800 hours, 720 of which are 'on the job'. Sixty per cent of the teaching staff comes from the world of work. The Its Demos has fourteen members and works with around forty companies, including multinationals. The employment rate of new graduates exceeds 80%.
Pnrr funds and new laboratories
.The institute, chaired by entrepreneur Rossella Ferro of the historic La Molisana company (the nation's fourth largest pasta factory for classic pasta), is now an established reality in Molise. A few months ago, thanks to Pnrr funds, work began on the redevelopment of a 1,000 square metre space used as a museum to turn it into the new headquarters of the Its Demos. Four state-of-the-art laboratories will also be built in the facility, in mechatronics, information technology, quality control and solar panels for sustainability.
Every boy is a talent
."We are looking for young people who want to get involved, young people who have understood that skills have to be built," stressed the director of the Its Demos, Marialaura Cosimi. In a reality like ours, a small region with a population of about 280,000 inhabitants and a working population of 140-160,000, every young person, every talent, is an opportunity not only for the Its, but above all for the Region to succeed in raising the bar of employment'.
