It will be open until mid-July the call for 7 million euro Fesr with which the Marche Region intends to foster the creation of integrated reception systems in the villages and historical centres of Marche (Axis 1 - OS 1.3 - Action 1.3.3, Intervention 1.3.3.6.).
The call for bids is aimed at small and medium-sized tourism enterprises that intend to set up accommodation facilities as part of integrated projects for the development of territorial tourism services, lasting over time and capable of integrating the offerings in the territories by increasing their quality and sustainability. With this intervention, the Region, in accordance with Regional Law 29/2021 "Support for integrated initiatives for the redevelopment and enhancement of the villages and historic centres of the Marche Region and the promotion and development of widespread and sustainable tourism", intends to support the development of integrated initiatives for the promotion and enhancement of the economy of the villages and historic centres of the Marche Region in terms of tourism.
The presence of 'historic villages' in the regional territory is widespread and constitutes a heritage of history, values and potential that has not yet been fully expressed. In fact, the Marche Region has focused on the development of the inland areas and in the various territories mostly organised in small inhabited agglomerations and historical villages, places that, due to their environmental and cultural resources, are naturally suited to be valorised in a touristic key and are strongly penalised by insufficient transport and digital communication infrastructures, as well as by important depopulation dynamics that do not favour tourism development.
"For the Region, supporting the creation of a tourism product that is competitive on the national and international market is a strategic objective," emphasises the President of the Region, Francesco Acquaroli, "capable of relaunching and enhancing our villages. This is a commitment that we have been pursuing since the start of the legislature with determination and the precious and indispensable contribution of the territories that have been able to play as a team, demonstrating great vitality and interest'.
Within the total budget of EUR 7 million, EUR 5 million are earmarked for projects submitted by networks of companies and EUR 2 million for projects submitted individually.
