Marco Giordani new managing director of Prosieben
The CFO of Mfe-MediaForEurope takes over as chief executive officer of Prosiebensat.1 with immediate effect from Bert Habets
Mfe-MediaForEurope takes the reins at Germany's Prosieben. Marco Giordani, currently chief financial officer of the Cologno Monzese-based group, will take over as chief executive officer (ceo) of Prosiebensat.1, replacing Bert Habets, the Bavarian media group, 75.6% controlled by Mfe, announces, stating that Habets' departure is "by mutual agreement". The current ceo will take over as senior advisor to the group, "with a focus on ensuring a smooth transition until the end of the year". In addition, Bob Rajan will join ProSieben as chief financial officer (CFO), effective immediately, succeeding Martin Mildner, who will leave the company by "mutual agreement".
Marco Giordani will continue to maintain his roles in the group. However, Mfe points out in a note, 'in order to safeguard the principle of independence and the pursuit of the interests of both Mfe and ProSiebenSat and their respective shareholders, any appropriate adjustments to the company's governance will be evaluated in order to ensure the adequacy of the organisational structure and business continuity'.

"Marco (Giordani, ed.) brings with him deep operational expertise, solid financial experience, and proven success in leading complex organisations. From now on, he will devote himself wholeheartedly to ProSiebenSat.1," adds Kyriacou, in light of the new appointments to the executive board. Just over ten days ago, Simone Sole (Mfe) and Michael Eifler (Eifler law firm), in fact, joined the supervisory board in place of the directors representing the former partner Ppf.
Among the changes announced today is the departure of Barkus Breitenecker, previously chief operating officer of ProSiebenSat, whose position will not be replaced on the board of directors. As for Prosieben's new cfo, Bob Rajan (who also holds the position of managing director at Alvarez & Marsal), Kyriacou points out that 'his experience in transformation and restructuring processes will be instrumental in enabling ProSiebenSat.1 to focus fully on future growth'.
