Carabinieri from the Rome investigative unit, coordinated by prosecutors from the Anti-Mafia Directorate (DDA), are carrying out searches at the homes of Mauro Masi, president of Banca del Fucino, and Francesco Maiolini, the bank’s chief executive, as part of an investigation into alleged market manipulation involving shares in Lazio. The investigation also involves Luigi Bisignani.
