Marni, the new creative director is Meryll Rogge

Meryll Rogge is the new creative director of the fashion house Marni, part of the Otb group. The announcement came today, one month after the farewell of Francesco Risso, who headed Marni for around 10 years. Meryll Rogge, Belgian, studied Fashion Design at the Royal Academy in Antwerp and then was on the creative team at Marc Jacobs in New York and at Dries Van Noten in Antwerp. In 2020, she launched her own brand.

"We have met some very valuable candidates, confirming how Marni continues to inspire and attract creative people from all over the world. Meryll impressed us for the sensitivity with which she has reinterpreted the brand's DNA, with a contemporary vision that embraces Marni globally and in all its aspects, including accessories, interior design, communication and special projects. I wish her to carry it forward with passion, supported by a team and a Group that have always put creativity at the centre," said Renzo Rosso, chairman of the Otb Group, which heads Marni.

The creative has been honoured with several awards: in 2021 she won Emerging Talent of the Year at the Belgian Fashion Awards, which subsequently awarded her Designer of the Year in 2024, the first woman to receive this accolade. In 2025, she won the Grand Prix at the Andam Fashion Awards 2025.
