Maserati Grecale facelift. The SUV gets an update. There are also new features for the Granturismo and Grancabrio
An update across the entire range from the Modena-based manufacturer. The range of the electric SUV has been increased, the 390 cv V6 has been introduced, and the V6 Trofeo in the sports cars now delivers 590 cavalli.
Maserati is updating its range with a series of facelifts for the Grecale, Granturismo and GranCabrio. The Trident brand is introducing a design language that follows on from the McXtrema, continued with the GT2 Stradale and the McPura. The main changes include the revised styling, the Nettuno V6 engine boosted to 590 cv in the GranTurismo and GranCabrio Trofeo, the debut of the 390 cv Nettuno V6 in the Grecale, and improved range in the SUV version.
Maserati Grecale facelift
The Maserati Grecale has been given a styling update, featuring a ‘shark-nose’ bumper, two new wheel designs – the 20-inch Asteria and 21-inch Crono – and the new Grigio Lamiera Shiny body colour from the Fuoriserie range. Inside, the car features a new steering wheel with a unique design and a spoke at the six o’clock position, available in perforated leather or Alcantara (standard on the Trofeo), the new octagonal digital clock with a metal crown, and the redesigned PRND selector with capacitive haptic technology, genuine metal buttons and integrated backlighting. The facelifted Maserati Grecale introduces the 390 cavalli V6 engine, whilst the Folgore range improves its range by 10 km to 580 kilometres thanks to the new AGS ‘Air Grille Shutter’ system. The range now comprises six versions, Grecale, Modena, Grecale V6, Modena V6, Trofeo V6 and Folgore, with internal combustion, hybrid and fully electric powertrains: the 390 cv petrol V6 (Grecale V6 and Modena V6) or 530 cv (Trofeo V6); the 4-cylinder mild hybrid with 250 or 300 cv (Grecale) or 330 cv (Modena); and the Folgore all-electric version with 550 cv and 400-volt technology.
Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio facelift
The two sports cars feature refreshed exteriors, enhanced interiors and a streamlined range. The update has introduced new engine and gearbox calibration, more responsive handling and a more engaging exhaust note. As successors to the Maserati Granturismo models launched in 2007 and updated in 2022 and 2023, they introduce refinements to design, dynamics and perceived quality. The range comprises three versions: the 490 cv, featuring Crio alloy wheels, satin-finish chrome details and full-grain leather interiors with carbon fibre panels; the Trofeo adds 40 cv to reach 590 cv, featuring forged Pegaso wheels, exposed carbon fibre, an Alcantara headliner, E-LSD and a sports exhaust; and the all-electric 760 cv Folgore, with torque vectoring and high-performance electric architecture. The GranTurismo Folgore reaches 325 km/h and the GranCabrio Folgore 290 km/h. Aerodynamically, it features a redesigned front end with reworked air intakes, an external air curtain and an optimised splitter to increase front downforce. At the rear, there are new clear lenses, whilst the gloss black Tridente wheels, inspired by the McPur Cielo, widen the track by 10 mm. Seven new exterior colours have been added, along with new interiors in Bordeaux leather and Nude Alcantara, Black and Tan leather, and Mahogany trim. Air Scarf is fitted as standard on the Trofeo and Folgore models. For the first time, Fuoriserie extends full personalisation to the soft top in the Bespoke configuration; now part of Bottegafuoriserie, the programme offers two levels – Catalogue and Bespoke – and three collections: Corse, Futura and Unica. The cabin features a racing-inspired steering wheel, the Maserati Digital Clock with a metal bezel and redesigned graphics, a three-dimensional metal PRND selector, paddle shifters with a new parking function, a 12.3-inch central display, an 8.8-inch Comfort display, a 12.2-inch instrument cluster, a head-up display and a new driver distraction and fatigue monitoring system. The petrol and diesel versions offer three modes: Country, which raises the ride height by 20 mm up to 120 km/h; Sport, with a louder exhaust and dynamic suspension; Corsa, reserved for the Trofeo. The Folgore adds Max Range and GT. Launch Control is available in Sport and Corsa modes; in Corsa mode, the Folgore utilises torque vectoring across all three motors and the Performance Optimizer, delivering up to 10% more power.
