Max Mara has teamed up with the Bullone Ets Foundation for the ‘Wear Your Voice’ project
The idea that creativity can become a tool for inclusion lies at the heart of the ‘Wear Your Voice’ project, which saw the Max Mara Group collaborate with the Bullone Ets Foundation. The Bullone Ets Foundation works with young people who are facing or have overcome a serious illness and, through training and personal development programmes, help them transform their experiences into new personal and professional opportunities.
“Our young people have extraordinary stories. These are years of their lives that have been incredibly difficult to live through, but also to recount and listen to. Through these T-shirts, they have managed to give a voice to some of these stories, using images that can be worn,” says Bill Niada, President of the Bullone Foundation.
The Co-T-Shirt Collection – the end result of this collaboration – was born out of a partnership between the Max Mara Group, which opened the doors of its headquarters and provided a ‘mentoring’ programme for the young people, and the B.Liver community – the young people from the Bullone Ets Foundation – and involved them in a co-creation process that unfolded through creative workshops, discussions and brainstorming sessions. Each of the original designs featured on the T-shirts in the capsule collection expresses a story and a perspective on the world – the ‘voice’ of each young person involved: hence the name of the project, which in Italian can be translated as ‘Wear your voice’.
“Opening our company’s doors to the young people from the Bullone Foundation has reminded us of the deepest meaning of innovation and creativity: the ability to view the world from different perspectives. We are proud of our collaboration with the B.Liver and of having channelled their life experiences and extraordinary energy into this project, demonstrating how the synergy between business and the third sector can generate real social value,” said the Max Mara Group.
