Mfe: new organisational structure launched; Mediaset Italia to be established

Process begins to merge Mediaset into R.T.I.

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - Pier Silvio Berlusconi, chairman and group CEO of MFE-MediaForEurope, has drawn up a new strategy together with his closest colleagues, which also provides for a different organisational structure for MFE and Mediaset. The model, which has just been presented to the Group’s managers, puts into practice the strategic and business guidelines publicly outlined on 8 July and comes into effect today. In line with this approach, the respective boards of directors have also resolved to initiate the process leading to the merger by incorporation of Mediaset into R.T.I. This will result in the creation of ‘Mediaset Italia’. The organisation has been redesigned to make the multinational Group even more effective and agile, thereby accelerating the realisation of the anticipated synergies. The principles are simple: greater organisational clarity, clearly defined responsibilities, a shorter chain of command and an even more timely capacity for action.
