"Today I was notified of the order by the Court of Ministers in the Almasri case: more than six months after it was filed, compared to the three months stipulated by law, and after unjustifiable leaks. The judges have dismissed my position alone, while I gather from the decree that authorisation will be requested to proceed against Ministers Piantedosi and Nordio and Undersecretary Mantovano'.
This is what Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni writes on her X profile. "In the decree," she continues, "it is claimed that I 'was not informed in advance and (did not) share the decision taken': and in this way I would not have strengthened 'the criminal programme'". "It is therefore alleged that two authoritative ministers and the undersecretary delegated by me for intelligence acted on such a serious matter without having shared with me the decisions taken. It is a patently absurd thesis,' continued the premier, who defined the request for trial for the two ministers and the undersecretary Mantovano as 'absurd'.
'On the merits, I reiterate the correctness of the work of the entire executive, whose only compass has been the protection of the security of Italians,' Meloni concludes.
