Meloni: Europe should strengthen cooperation with the Gulf states; Italia has a leading role to play

"Europe must be ready to capitalise on its geopolitical position to build long-term strength" and “a priority must be to strengthen synergies with our partners, starting with cooperation between Europe and the Gulf, which offers enormous untapped potential and could be crucial in engaging West and East Africa and Asia”. This was stated by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni in a video message to the Future Investment Initiative Institute conference currently taking place in Rome. “Italia intends to play a leading role in this context, as a gateway to Europe and a natural hub for energy, logistics and trade in the Mediterranean.”
