"The United States has not stopped supplying arms and support to Ukraine, it has revised the decision to supply specific components" a fact "relevant but quite different from the total American disengagement that has been told. I myself heard Donald Trump with whom I spoke' about Kiev and also about tariffs: 'I hope for positive developments on this issue'. This was said by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni speaking at the Forum in Masseria.
"On tariffs we see, worked on rebuilding dialogue'
"What will happen I cannot say, as you well know the competence lies with the EU Commission which is following the negotiations with the US, on the Italian side we have worked to ensure that the relationship was certainly frank but constant, aimed at trying to solve the problems together," said the Prime Minister. "We are satisfied that we have rebuilt a dialogue that seemed interrupted and is now ongoing, we are all doing our part but I cannot go into what the agreements will be".
"There is no government initiative on electoral law"
."As I see it,' Meloni emphasised, 'electoral laws are a matter of parliamentary competence, there is no government initiative, personally I think it would be good to have an electoral law that is good even when the premierate is approved, in which case proportional representation with an indication of the premier and a majority prize would be a 'fair' law. On preferences, 'my position is known my positions are varied I cannot say what the outcome would be'.
"Let's look at the programme, citizenship is not there"
.Regarding the Ius Scholae proposed by Forza Italia Meloni pointed out: 'The centre-right is made up of different political forces, on some issues there are different sensitivities: I think it is normal otherwise we would be a single party but it is the reason why we decided to draw up a programme and the reason why I think it would be useful for everyone' to focus 'on the priorities indicated in the programme on which we all agree, citizenship is not among them'.
"Albania plan goes ahead: successful idea"
.The Plan 'Albania goes ahead, despite the fairly obvious attempts' to prevent 'this initiative from succeeding, should make us reflect on the role of politics and other powers of the state'. But it remains a 'successful idea and it is no coincidence that' other countries are thinking about it, Meloni stressed again.
