Budget: Meloni says the measure is worth around 26 billion

(Il Sole 24 Ore Radiocor) - The 2027 budget package is “worth 26 billion euros”. This was announced by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni at a press conference following the Cabinet meeting.

"This measure is part of a medium- and long-term strategy" and "is designed to last the duration of the parliamentary term" and forms part of a "multi-year plan".

"I am very pleased with the consistency and clarity we have shown throughout this process," she added. "We have not handed out resources indiscriminately or made promises we could not keep."
