A total of 40 are the indicted persons in the investigation that today led to the arrests of 19 people among the leaders of the Milan and Inter football clubs. Among them are no employees or managers of the clubs, who, as explained by Milan prosecutor Marcello Viola, are 'injured parties'.

Among the suspects in the Milan Public Prosecutor's investigation into ultrà curves is Manfredi Palmeri, a Lombardy regional councillor elected with Letizia Moratti's list and a municipal councillor in Milan on a centre-right list. He is accused of bribery among private individuals in a tranche for his relations with a contractor interested, reads the gip order, in 'securing the award of the contract' for the San Siro stadium car parks. "Now I've already bought Manfred the painting! It's 10,000 of a painting!" said Gherardo Zaccagni, a car park 'manager' who is under house arrest for other charges.

The Milan Public Prosecutor's Office has also started a so-called 'prevention procedure' against Inter and Milan, clubs that are not under investigation but that will have to prove, in a cross-examination, that they have severed their ties with the ultras world, especially in the management of match tickets. Otherwise, they could arrive, before the Section of prevention measures of the Court, at a measure of judicial administration.

The investigations 'have shown that the Inter club is in a situation of subservience towards the exponents of the Curva Nord, ending up, in fact, to facilitate them, albeit obtorto collo'. Investigations on this front that have focused mainly on the years '2019 and 2020, but the situation, to date, has not changed at all (if not worsened)'. This is stated in the order of the Milan Gip Domenico Santoro.

The agents of the Central Operative Service of the Central Anti-Crime Directorate of the State Police, the Mobile Squad and the Sisco of Milan executed 19 precautionary measures and search decrees against persons investigated for various reasons for criminal conspiracy, with the aggravating circumstance of the mafia method, extortion, injuries and other serious crimes. The suspects can almost all be traced back to the ultras fans of Inter and Milan and the offences related to football-related business.

Among the ultras involved in the maxi blitz by the Police and the Guardia di Finanza, which led to dozens of precautionary measures and searches, there are, among others, one of the Inter ultras leaders,Marco Ferdico, very close to Antonio Bellocco, the 'ndranghetista killed on 4 September by Andrea Beretta, also at the top of the Nerazzurri curve and in prison for murder. And then Luca Lucci, head of the Milanese ultras, already convicted for drugs and notorious because he had his photo taken in 2018 with the then vice-premier Matteo Salvini at the Curva Sud's 50th anniversary party. Plus also Christian Rosiello, bodyguard of singer Fedez.

Figc Prosecutor's Office asks Milan Prosecutor's Office

The sporting justice has also been activated for the Milan judicial enquiry into the infiltration of organised crime in the Inter and Milan curves. The federal prosecutor of the FIGC, Giuseppe Chinè, is in fact asking in these hours - ANSA learns - the prosecutors of the Milan Public Prosecutor's Office for the ordinance of precautionary detention and the acts of investigation not covered by secrecy. The intention is to verify any conduct 'relevant' to the sporting order, on the part of the two clubs or their members.
