Milan-based Medisolve acquires the Austrian firm Mides
The acquiring company, controlled by the private equity group HIG Capital, has also completed a refinancing totalling 245 million
Medisolve, a Milan-based company owned by the international private equity fund HIG Capital and a European leader in integrated management and maintenance services for biomedical equipment, has acquired Mides GmbH, an Austrian company that operates a European platform specialising in the same sector of repair, maintenance and reconditioning of medical equipment. The acquired company is based in Graz, Austria.
Through this transaction, Medisolve is consolidating its position in the biomedical devices sector in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Mides will, in fact, strengthen Medisolve’s laboratory network and become the group’s European hub for innovation. Medisolve will also be able to capitalise on the strong relationships Mides has built with its clients, with the aim of further improving efficiency and expanding the range of services on offer.
After three years, characterised by seven acquisitions and significant geographical expansion, the Italian group has also completed a refinancing transaction with the support of Barings and Deutsche Bank. Following the refinancing of existing facilities, further funding of 70 million has been granted to support the acquisition of Mides and other development projects within the group. The transaction comprises three facilities: a 175 million Term Loan B, a 25 million revolving credit facility and a 45 million facility for investments and acquisitions, totalling 245 million.
Today, Medisolve has exceeded €200 million in turnover and has over 1,000 employees, with dedicated staff working in more than 300 healthcare facilities across Europe and a presence spanning Italia, Spain, Portugal, Germany and Austria.
