Milan State University: stop agreements with rights violators in Gaza

The State University of Milan will refrain from proceeding with "new stipulations or renewals of agreements with universities, institutions or other actors that are directly or indirectly implicated in the violations currently taking place". This was stated in a motion on human rights violations in the Gaza Strip unanimously approved today by the Academic Senate, which, in reiterating its "indignation and condemnation" for the terrorist attack by Hamas on 7 October 2023, and in reiterating its call for the release of all hostages, reiterates that "self-defence cannot in any way imply indiscriminate warfare".
