Milano Music Week, edition 2025 under the sign of the 'New Generation'
Tananai curator, Cesare Cremonini presents the live album. Plus concerts, debates and workshops
Milan is once again preparing to become Italy's music capital for a week. From 17 to 23 November, the Milano Music Week returns, now in its ninth edition, and this year it speaks the language of the 'New Generation'. Special curator is Tananai, who joins artistic director Nur Al Habash in a week that promises to transform the city into a huge diffuse stage, with concerts, talks, showcases and meetings where inclusion and innovation are the key words.
The Milanese artist, an exponent of the new pop scene, also signs the two opening events at the Milan Triennale Theatre, dedicated to the relationship between artificial intelligence and music and to the training of young producers. But the programme is varied: Cesare Cremonini will preview the Cremonini Live25 album at the Piccolo Teatro Grassi; Frah Quintale will take part in Mattia del Moro's Da disco nasce disco format; Willie Peyote will talk about himself in the Chromosomes talk, featuring old interviews and reflections. Space will also be given to Manuel Agnelli, Paolo Fresu, Tosca and Stefano Senardi in a dialogue on the state of Italian music.
'I accepted to be curator of Milano Music Week not to put myself at the centre, but to give a voice to professionals that I respect,' Tananai explains. "Milan is home for me, the city where I gave my first concerts and where I have always felt loved. I hope that this week will inspire those who dream of making a living from music'. For Culture Councillor Tommaso Sacchi, 'Milan, for a week, is transformed into a diffuse stage where music becomes a language of inclusion, innovation and dialogue. It is historically a city of music, the home of great publishers and artists who continue to choose it, and this event renews its spirit'. Music is 'constantly changing, and Milano Music Week is the best way to keep up with it', adds Nur Al Habash. For Andrea Grancini of TicketOne, 'this edition celebrates the new generation of artists and entrepreneurs under 40, bringing innovation and accessibility to the world of live events'.
