Milei: the State is a criminal association, communism a disease of the soul

Javier Milei reiterates his anti-state concepts during his state visit to Rome. 'Philosophically I am an anarcho-capitalist and therefore feel a deep contempt for the state. I think the state is the enemy, I think the state is a criminal association,' the president of Argentina said in an interview to be aired tonight on Retequattro. Milei is in Rome to meet with the Pope, the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella and the premier Giorgia Meloni.

"In fact, the state is a criminal association in which a set of politicians get together and decide to use the monopoly to steal the resources of the private sector," he says in the interview on the 'Fourth Republic' programme. "The method of the state is to steal. Every time you go to buy something in a place, the State robs you through taxes; therefore, the State steals from you every day,' the Argentine president continues. 'The State has the power to arrest people while politicians do not see consequences, they do not see their powers at stake. But in this I realised that the only way to get into the system is to dynamite the system,' he says.

I originally thought communism 'was a mental problem', because 'pure socialism was defeated by economic theory and I first thought it was a problem of temperament, a mental problem. But, later, I realised it was something much worse, that it was a disease of the soul. When socialism was applied well, they murdered more than 6 million human beings'. Responding to a comment from the presenter that 'communists no longer exist', the Argentine leader said: 'Ah, they don't exist? There are many socialists, who want to get there in the long run. They are cowardly communists'.
