At the proposal of the Minister of Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, an amendment to the Sport Decree Law was approved, aimed at the creation of Pathways for Transversal Skills and Orientation (PCTO), by secondary schools in the 38th edition of the international sailing competition 'America's Cup - Naples 2027'.

.In particular, it is intended to enhance the educational and guidance function of PCTOs, offering, within the framework of the event, a concrete and qualified possibility of experiential learning for students, especially within the '4+2' technological-professional chain.

'The project offers students concrete opportunities for professional growth and orientation, enhances local schools, and promotes the culture of sport, which also means a culture of respect for rules and people. Fundamental issues for the education of young people, which play a major role in our government action, as witnessed by the important work we are doing in cooperation with the Minister of Sport, Andrea Abodi,' said Minister Valditara.

The schools adhering to the technological-professional sectors related to the technological areas of the Its Academy will be able to realise courses consistent with the various aspects of the event, together with the public and private subjects involved. All the activities will be carried out with special safety standards and the host subjects will have to integrate the risk assessment document (DVR) with a specific section on the students involved in PCTO, to be forwarded to the educational institutions..
