Mim: decree signed for out-of-region recruitments
Valditara: 'Another step forward in the fight against precarious employment and for educational continuity The measure introduces a territorial compensation mechanism for filling vacant posts with open-ended contracts in regions where the number of applicants is insufficient to meet requirements
The Minister for Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, has signed the decree that, starting from the 2026/2027 school year, will allow winners and successful candidates not yet recruited from competitions announced as of 2020 to be included, upon request, in special regional lists for tenure in regions other than those for which they held the competition. These lists will be used for tenure only after and if the regional lists are exhausted.
The measure
The measure implements the provision contained in Decree-Law 45 of 2025, converted into Law 79 of 2025, which introduces a territorial compensation mechanism aimed at filling vacant posts with open-ended contracts in regions where the number of applicants is insufficient to meet the need.
Promotes stabilisation
This will make it possible to further promote and accelerate the process of stabilising school staff, maximising the number of new recruits and at the same time reducing the incidence of precarious employment and the use of fixed-term contracts.
"Another promise fulfilled," says the Minister for Education and Merit, Giuseppe Valditara, "another step forward in the fight against precarious employment and to ensure educational continuity.
