MiMo 2026: a host of new Chinese products on display in Monza
The traditional event for motoring enthusiasts at the Monza circuit is now in its fifth year. It will remain open until Sunday 28 June. The new models from the two Chinese brands, Changan and Chery, were unveiled to the public for the first time at Monza.

The Milan Monza Motor Show, MiMo 2026, is back at the Monza National Circuit and will remain open until Sunday 28 June. The event is free to the public of all ages, but is primarily aimed at car enthusiasts. The programme includes dynamic activities, test drives, supercar parades and exhibitions by iconic brands, alongside an all-Chinese showcase featuring two manufacturers: Changan and Chery, who have also announced their new models due to be launched in the coming months.
Changan unveils the Deepal S05 Ultra
As well as showcasing the models already on sale – namely the Deepal S05 and the Deepal S07, both with electric powertrains – Changan has unveiled, for the first time, the new Deepal S05 Ultra, a plug-in hybrid SUV powered by a 1,500 cc petrol engine paired with a lithium-iron-phosphate battery designed for faster charging. The electric range is approximately 100 km, whilst the total range is just over 1,000 km. It will be available in two trim levels: the Pro Ultra-Hybrid, priced from just under 28,000 euros, and the Max Ultra-Hybrid, priced from just over 30,000 or 37,000 euros depending on the specification.
Chery Group’s Italian roadmap unveiled
The Chery Group has brought part of its range to MiMo, including the Chery Tiggo 8, Chery Tiggo 9, Icaur V27, and the Lepas L8 and Lepas L6. It has also previewed the Italian launch schedule for three new brands. Starting with Chery, sales are set to begin between the third and fourth quarters of 2026, with the Tiggo 8 and Tiggo 9 plug-in hybrid SUVs previewed in Monza. Lepas will make its debut in the second half of 2026 with the L8 SUV, followed by the L6 and the more compact L4. Finally, the iCaur brand is set to arrive in the first quarter of 2027 with the V27 range-extender SUV. The new brands’ line-up consists entirely of electrified powertrains: full hybrid, plug-in and range-extender.
How to get to the racetrack by car or on public transport
To get to the event by car, set your sat-nav to ‘Autodromo di Monza’. If you’re coming from Milan or elsewhere in Lombardy, simply follow the signs for Villa Reale di Monza and use the Porta Vedano entrance. Parking costs €20 in an area near the main entrance: you can book online. If you plan to use public transport, you can make use of the MiMo Day Pass, a €10 ticket for a return journey to Monza station: it is 6.6 km from the circuit and can be reached by city buses.
