Mini and Paul Smith present at Salone del Mobile with 'A Garden of Curiosity' installation
An immersive journey through design and colour, divided into themed spaces and interactive experiences. Presenting three models born from the collaboration of the two brands
Mini will participate in the Salone del Mobile 2026, scheduled to take place from 21 to 26 April, with the installation 'A Garden of Curiosity', realised in collaboration with Paul Smith and hosted at the Palazzo Borromeo d'Adda in Milan.
The project marks a new chapter in the collaboration between the two brands, combining Paul Smith's distinctive use of colour with Mini's attention to detail. The installation offers an immersive journey designed to engage visitors in a design-related experience.
Access is via a wooden walkway that crosses the courtyard and leads to a red door, conceived as a symbolic element inviting observation. Beyond the threshold, a green space opens up, characterised by paths flanked by plants and grasses, leading to platforms and cubic installations.
The route is divided into two thematic rooms. The Colour Theory Room relates Paul Smith's colour palette to that of the new Mini Paul Smith Edition, offering visitors the chance to experiment with combinations through an interactive wall. The Listening Room complements the experience with voice recordings of Sir Paul Smith, focusing on the importance of colour theory.
On display in the courtyard are three models resulting from the collaboration between the two brands: the 1998 Paul Smith 40th Anniversary Mini, the Mini Strip by Paul Smith presented in 2021 and the latest Mini Cooper.
