Red bulletins warning of the possible health effects, especially for the most fragile, of the heatwaves that the Ministry of Health monitors with daily bulletins for 27 cities are finally dropping. Yesterday, the ministerial bulletin indicated 22 red bulletins, which dropped to 21 for Ferragosto, with Cagliari going from red to yellow. While on Friday, 16 August, the red bulletins dropped to 16, with Genoa and Turin going down to yellow, Cagliari, Catania, Civitavecchia, Messina, Milan, Pescara, Reggio Calabria, Rieti, Viterbo.
Heat waves occur when there are very high temperatures for several consecutive days, often associated with high humidity, strong sunlight and lack of ventilation. These climatic conditions can pose a health risk to the population.
Weather alert in Sardinia and Tuscany
Weather alert in two regions. For risk of thunderstorms, even very strong ones, in Sardinia in the Flumendosa, Flumineddu, Gallura and Logudoro areas. The alert will go off at 12 noon and will last until 9 pm.
The Regional Civil Protection of Tuscany has issued a 'yellow code' weather alert valid from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for severe storms on the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago.
