Workplace fatality in Binasco: worker crushed by a pillar

A fatal accident at work occurred this morning in Binasco, near Milan, at 17 Via Alessandro Manzoni. According to the Fire Brigade, shortly before 7.30 am, a 30-year-old worker employed by Sasom srl – a company that manages waste collection – was crushed under a pillar whilst carrying out a manoeuvre. The fire brigade and the emergency services (118) responded immediately, arriving at the scene within a matter of minutes, but the worker’s condition appeared to be extremely serious from the outset. The local police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
