Three excellences of the Italian agri-food industry join forces to promote themselves in Europe. The Consortium for the Protection of Mozzarella di Bufala Campana PDO, the Consortium for the Protection of Ricotta di Bufala Campana PDO and the Consortium of Prosciutto di San Daniele PDO are joining forces and resources and launching the European Campaign, to conquer new consumers in the Old Continent. The aim is to promote and spread the Italian lifestyle, or rather the 'Dolce Vita', as the chosen claim goes.
Initiative co-financed by the Ministry of Agriculture
The joint project of the Consortia, co-financed by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, includes a digital advertising campaign throughout the month of September, which will touch France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands, alongside a campaign with posters and totems installed in shopping centres and metro stations, focusing on Paris and Lyon in France and Berlin and Cologne in Germany.
Events in Embassies
Strengthening the Consortia's presence in the countries will also be a series of events that will take place from September to November between institutional venues, such as embassies and cultural institutes, and trendy restaurants and clubs, to intercept all types of consumers. Masterclasses will also be offered to foreign stakeholders, followed by guided tastings of mozzarella and ricotta di Bufala Campana and San Daniele Dop.
Fifteen appointments from September to November
More than 15 events will be held between September and November 2025 in the main cities of the four project countries, including Amsterdam, Rotterdam, Utrecht, Brussels and Ghent between the Netherlands and Belgium. Stops in the cities of Cologne, Berlin, Düsseldorf and Stuttgart for Germany. Other dates in France in Paris and Lyon.
"We have launched an ambitious promotion plan, choosing to go where the desire for PDO buffalo mozzarella grows. In this way we are looking to the future, to the new generations of consumers, telling them how unique products are created and also how to know how to make the most of them. With our friends from San Daniele, we take Italian know-how abroad, which is trend-setting in the world,' comments Domenico Raimondo, President of the Consorzio di Tutela Mozzarella di Bufala Campana Dop.
