Predictions confirmed: 8 councillors from the Plt list vote in favour of the Siena summit ticket
by Luca Davi
Luigi Lovaglio ceo and managing director, Cesare Bisoni chairman. This is the new top management ticket that will lead the board of Banca Mps.
At the end of a long and tense meeting that has just ended, the line of the Plt list, which emerged victorious from the shareholders' meeting on 15 April, prevailed. The team promoted by entrepreneur Pierluigi Tortora, which came first at the meeting with 49.95% of the votes (32.4% of the capital) and which included the outgoing CEO Lovaglio (who was in turn excluded from the board of directors' list) with a 10% difference in the voting capital, asserted its majority consisting of its eight members brought to the board out of the total 15, including Lovaglio himself.
The group of Plt directors therefore voted compactly for the top management tandem chosen by the shareholders' meeting. Voting against were four members of the outgoing Board of Directors list (with two abstentions) and the director from the Assogestioni list.
The two vice-presidents were also appointed: Flavia Mazzarella, who will act as deputy, and Carlo Corradini, also from the Plt list.
