Mundys, Alessandro Benetton will be the new president

Alessandro Benetton will be the new chairman of Mundys for the next three years, appointed as part of an overall reorganisation of the group "in order to ensure the realisation of its growth and development plans" together with Andrea Mangoni, who has been reconfirmed as CEO. This was reported by Ansa, referring to sources close to the company ahead of the shareholders' meeting on 30 March. Outgoing chairman Giampiero Massolo will become vice-chairman and remain on the holding company's team.

According to Edizione's nominations, the board that will lead Mundys for the next three years will be composed as follows: Enrico Laghi (CEO of Edizione), Ermanno Boffa (board member of Edizione), Christian Coco (chief investment officer of Edizione), Stefania Dotto (Investment Director of Edizione). According to sources close to the group, the partner Blackstone has instead indicated the names of Peter Joseph Guarraia (senior managing director), Adam Neil Kuhnley (senior managing director and co-head of European Investments in Infrastructure Group) and Scott Schultz (managing director). Finally, Fondazione Crt named the economist Carlo Cottarelli. The board of statutory auditors will also be composed for the next three years of Riccardo Michelutti (chairman), Benedetta Navarra, Graziano Visentin.

Mundys (the former Atlantia) is the holding company 57% owned by Edizione (the Benetton family's safe), 37.8% by the Blackstone fund and 5.2% by Fondazione Cr Torino. The group is active in motorway concessions mainly through its subsidiary Abertis; it also manages five airports, including Fiumicino and Ciampino in Italia and the Nice Côte d'Azur airport in France, and is active in the mobility services sector, mainly through its subsidiary Telepass.
