In Vigevano, the candidate supported by Vannacci exceeds 14%. Decisive for the runoff
Furio Suvilla sails around 14% of the consensus:
The spotlight was all on him. Because he was the only candidate in Lombardy (and in Italia) openly supported by Roberto Vannacci, who decided not to present the symbol of his party, 'Futuro Nazionale' at this round of local elections. And the results are shaping up to be beyond expectations
Suvilla at 14%, decisive for the ballot
Counting operations are still in progress, but the affirmation of the candidate supported by Vannacci now seems clear. Furio Suvilla has settled on 14% of the consensus: he is fourth, behind Rossella Buratti (centre-left) and the two centre-right candidates, Paolo Previde Massara (Forza Italia) and Riccardo Ghia (Lega and Fratelli d'Italia), who are competing to challenge Buratti at the ballot. The votes of Suvilla, who in the election campaign has focused entirely on security, will therefore be decisive.
The General's rally
There were warnings of the rest last 17 May, on the occasion of Roberto Vannacci's rally in the central Piazza Ducale in Vigevano (Pavia). The general, leader of the new Futuro Nazionale (National Future) movement, had come to Vigevano's 'good living room' to support the candidacy for mayor of Furio Suvilla, a lawyer, supported by the Vigevano futura - Lombardia civic list. The square filled to hear Vannacci's words somewhat anticipated Suvilla's result in the elections in the Lomellina municipality.
Lovati stops at 1%
Lawyer Massimo Lovati, former lawyer of Andrea Sempio candidate with Democrazia Sovrana Popolare, is instead stuck at 1% at the moment.
It did not go well, however, for Luigi Corò (Futuro per Venezia Mestre), who adheres to Futuro Nazionale but whom Vannacci's movement does not officially support. With polling still in progress, Corò is below 1%
