Research: 5.25 million from the Ministry of University and Research (MUR) to promote Italy’s heritage and scientific culture
The call for applications for three-year funding for organisations, scientific bodies, foundations and consortia has been published.
The Ministry of Universities and Research, led by Anna Maria Bernini, is making €5.25 million available to support organisations, scientific institutions, foundations and consortia working to promote scientific literacy and enhance the country’s technical and scientific heritage of historical interest.
The initiative aims to strengthen the work of organisations that promote the dissemination of scientific culture and highlight the tangible and intangible heritage linked to the history of science and technology.
Resources
The funding allocated to the scheme amounts to 1.75 million euros per year. The Regional Ministry of Education, Universities and Research (MUR) will provide a grant equivalent to 80 per cent of the operating costs associated with activities aimed at promoting technical and scientific culture and enhancing the historical and scientific heritage.
Questions
Applications may be submitted by private entities with legal personality, a registered office and a permanent establishment in Italia. The assessment and selection of applications will be carried out by the Technical and Scientific Committee on the basis of three criteria: the quality of the applicant organisation, the quality of its institutional activities and the quality of its structure.
Applications that score at least 40 out of a total of 60 points will be eligible for funding, subject to the availability of funds.
