Music, singer Sandro Giacobbe has died

Singer Sandro Giacobbe passed away today at his home in Gogorno, in the Levante region of Genoa. This was confirmed by a source close to the family. Giacobbe was 75 years old and had been fighting a tumour with great courage for over ten years.

After living in Moneglia for decades, Giacobbe had recently moved to San Salvatore di Cogorno. In the riparian municipality he had played football in the local team before joining the national team of singers, of which he had also been coach. He leaves behind his wife and sons Andrea and Alessandro.
