"Are you really so retarded as to think I gave a Cybertruck to a Russian general?". With this message posted on social X, Elon Musk denied reports that he had given a Tesla Cybertruck to the Chechen president, Ramzan Kadyrov.
In recent days, Kadyrov had posted a video online in which he was seen behind the wheel of a Tesla Cybertruck, equipped with a machine gun. The Chechen leader claimed to have received the vehicle from Musk himself and invited him to Chechnya.
'We received,' reads Kadyrov's message accompanying the video, 'a Tesla Cybertruck from Elon Musk. I was happy to test the new technology'. The Chechen leader says he has 'literally fallen in love' with the vehicle, and calls it 'a real invulnerable and fast animal' that 'will soon be sent to the area of the North-East military district - in the places where the war between Russia and Ukraine is being fought - where it will bring many benefits to our soldiers'. Kadyrov then extols Elon Musk as 'the strongest genius of our time' and 'a great man', and invites him to Grozny where he promises to receive him 'as my dearest guest'.
The South African tycoon and Tesla leader also announced the closure of X's offices in Brazil. In a statement, the social network announced that it will close its offices in Brazil following the decisions of Judge Alexandre de Moraes, of the Federal Supreme Court, who demanded the blocking of profiles on the platform.
However, social will continue to be available to users.
