Musso leaves Genoa airport

Change of course at Genoa airport. After two years, Cristoforo Colombo's president, Enrico Musso, a professor of transport economics at the University, will not be confirmed. The news leaks out from sources close to the shareholders, the Port System Authority and the Chamber of Commerce, as reported by Agenzia Ansa.
Musso convened the board of directors for Monday, which in turn must convene the shareholders' meeting to appoint the new president and board members.
The outgoing president was appointed in 2024 by the then Autority commissioner Massimo Seno in the aftermath of the investigation that led to the arrest of the Authority's president Paolo Emilio Signorini and the then governor of Liguria Giovanni Toti. His term of office expired with the approval of the 2025 budget, but he is in prorogatio. Under Musso's leadership, the company that manages Genoa's airport has been restructured and the airport has reached a record 1.5 million passengers.
