Musso leaves Genoa Airport

A change of direction at Genoa Airport. After two years, the chairman of Cristoforo Colombo, Enrico Musso, a lecturer in Transport Economics at the University, will not be reappointed. The news has emerged from sources close to the shareholders, the Port Authority and the Chamber of Commerce, as reported by the Ansa news agency.

Musso has convened a meeting of the board of directors for Monday; the board will in turn convene a general meeting of shareholders to appoint the new chairman and the board members.

The outgoing chairman had been appointed in 2024 by the then commissioner of the Authority, Massimo Seno, in the wake of the investigation that had led to the arrest of the Authority’s chairman, Paolo Emilio Signorini, and the then governor of Liguria, Giovanni Toti. His term expired with the approval of the 2025 budget but is currently under a provisional extension. Under Musso’s leadership, the company managing Genoa airport was turned around and the airport reached a record of 1.58 million passengers.
