Editoriale Nazionale passes to Lmdv, deal with Monrif closed

Lmdv Media has finalised the closing of the operation to acquire a majority stake of 80% in En, Editoriale Nazionale from the Monrif group, which controls the daily newspapers Il Giorno, La Nazione, Il Resto del Carlino and the national title Qn. With this step, Leonardo Maria Del Vecchio confirms its 'commitment to the information and media sector, with the aim of guaranteeing continuity to an authoritative, independent and quality model', a note said.

The project, which led to the acquisition of a majority stake of 80% in Editoriale Nazionale, is based on 'investments oriented towards innovation and the valorisation of people, with particular attention to the strengthening of editorial quality and the contribution of high-profile journalists that have always characterised the group'. In this process, the central role of local editorial offices and their deep-rootedness in the territories will be reaffirmed, as an expression of skills, identity, and the ability to interpret the specificities of the reference communities.

At the same time, the aim is to build a 'solid bridge with the new generations, accompanying them towards a more conscious and qualified relationship with information', the note concludes.

The operation represents a further step in Lndv Capital's industrial development path, aimed at enhancing strategic assets and historical brands.
