The Oklahoma City Thunder are the new NBA champions. In game seven of the finals they beat the Indiana Pacers 103-91, ending the series at 4-3. Mvp Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led Oklahoma with 29 points and 12 assists, while Jalen Williams added 21. The Pacers paid dearly for a serious injury to Tyrese Haliburton's right lower leg early in the game. For Oklahoma it is the first title in their history that began in 2008 with the transfer from Seattle, the franchise's second since 1979 when they were called SuperSonics.
