The deal dates back to a month ago, but yesterday only Nemo Group - an Italian designer lighting company - provided more details on the entrepreneurial vision that prompted Federico Palazzari, owner and creator of the group, which has grown over the years from the Omikron company he founded, to also acquire the FontanaArte and Driade brands, thus joining Nemo Lighting, Reggiani and ILTI Luce.
Objectives of the operation
'We start from a management and development model that has its basis in the idea of 'taking care' of companies,' Palazzari explained. 'An attitude of caring and solicitude, with the aim above all of putting companies in a position to express themselves at their best, working on the values of the past to ensure a coherent and sustainable future. Only in this way, by taking care of them, do we invest in the future and ensure that these realities are ready to have a long life ahead of them'.
The group's objective is to offer the market its expertise in the various areas of the lighting sector: the design strength of Nemo Lighting, the decorative excellence of FontanaArte and the technical and lighting solutions of ILTI Luce and Reggiani. The specificity of Driade - a historical brand of design furniture - complements and strengthens the group's proposal.
Independence and Synergy
.All brands and companies of the group will continue to operate independently in their own market segment, in terms of both product development and financial management. Instead, the strategic, investment and human resources management is entrusted to a central management body, the Excecutive Committee.
Today, the group operates in over 80 countries, with three production units and subsidiaries in France, Scandinavia, the United States, the Middle East and China, a team of over 250 people and a consolidated turnover of over 70 million. The aim is to continue to grow both organically and through strategic acquisitions, focusing horizontally on all aspects of the lighting and design world.
