Higher bonuses and more focus on family-friendly welfare policies. The 4,000 employees of the Nestlé group in Italy have a new integrative contract. In fact, an agreement has been signed between the multinational and the trade unions (Fai, Flai and Uila) that will be valid for the two-year period 2024-2025.
The agreement reached is in line with the national collective agreement for the food industry that was signed in recent weeks and approved by more than 99% of the workers in the sector.
The prize of up to 2,900 euro
.In terms of wages, the agreement provides that the value of the production bonus will reach EUR 2,900 when fully implemented and will be linked to the parameters of quality, efficiency, productivity and innovation, as well as environmental sustainability. The latter parameter will be identified on a site-by-site basis. Those who wish to convert the bonus into welfare goods and services will have an increased amount because the company has decided to recognise the full amount of the contribution savings it has from this choice.
Social sustainability: parental leave and family care leave
On the regulatory side, the parties strengthened the system of dialogue on training and professional development, safety at work and the labour market and organisation. In addition, some of the agreements on social sustainability and work-life balance were implemented. Such as, for example, baby leave, which provides for a 12-week paternity leave and introduces an additional 8 hours per year of family care leave, which can be used for intergenerational care, protection and care of children, persons with disabilities and caregivers.
Lastly, the programme for improving the psychophysical well-being of male and female workers continues, and has been strengthened with a telemedicine service, thanks to which employees will be able to benefit from general and specialist medical consultations.
