Nestlé recalls baby products in 26 countries: may cause nausea and vomiting
The recall also concerns Italy. The company: the recall 'takes place in application of the precautionary principle'
nestlé has issued recall notices for certain batches of infant feeding products in 24 European countries, plus Turkey and Argentina. This was stated by the company itself.
A number of product batches, including SMA, BEBA and NAN infant and follow-on formula, have been recalled due to potential contamination with a toxin that could cause nausea and vomiting.
The recall also concerns Italy. Here is the company's statement, on the Nestlé Italia website:
"Nestlé Italiana, in collaboration with the competent authorities, is voluntarily recalling certain lots of products formulated for infants. The batches marketed by the company in Italy and affected by this recall are listed below (editor's note, here).
The voluntary and precautionary decision to proceed with the recall, following the voluntary recall of two batches in December 2025 in Italy, is made in application of the precautionary principle, and was taken due to a potential microbiological deviation found in an ingredient used in the composition of these products.
Although to date there is no confirmation of any disorders associated with consumption of the products affected by the recall, the company advises against consuming the product.
