New factory in Bahrain (in Sakhir) for the Racing Force Group's Omp brand, which also announces the completion of the expansion of the Bell racing helmets factory at the Bic, Bahrain international circuit, one of the most advanced infrastructures in motorsport and a fundamental platform for the development of racing in the Middle East.

The completion of the expansion of the Bell factory, Racing Force's top management explain, 'will allow the production capacity to be doubled, with the site now covering 12,000 square metres. The factory produces a range of racing helmets for countless disciplines, worn by 70 per cent of the drivers on the Fia Formula 1 World Championship grid'.

In the meantime, construction work has begun on a new plant for Omp, the group's company specialising in the design and production of racewear, car components and motorsport safety accessories. The new 15,000 square metre plant, adjacent to the existing one at Bic, 'will allow,' they add, 'the production of a selection of key motorsport safety items.

Since 2023, Racing Force, a group with headquarters in Ronco Scriva (Genoa) and listed on the Milan and Paris stock exchanges, has completed two capital increases: one in January of that year, of EUR 10 million, and the other, in June 2024, of EUR 7.5 million.

Expansion through capital increases

Technically, Bell's extension (second floor of the current factory) was carried out by Bic, while Racing force's investment concerns installation (e.g. of machinery) and is to be attributed to the first capital increase. For the second factory, that of Omp, the same pattern will be followed: the investment for the construction will be made by Bic and the installation will be the responsibility of Racing force, which will use funds from the second capital increase, that of 2024.

The recently completed increase enabled Bahrain Mumtalakat holding company to become a strategic investor in Racing Force Group, through a wholly owned subsidiary. 'This investment,' a note underlines, 'aims to meet the growing global demand for motorsport safety products and will support the development of the new Omp plant, further strengthening the Group's position as a leader in motorsport safety systems.

The collaboration with Mumtalakat

.

Since 2015, says Stephane Cohen, co-ceo of Racing Force Group and ceo of the Bahrain division, "our partnership with the Bahrain international circuit has become ever closer, ensuring that we have the best conditions and resources to confirm ourselves as the leading manufacturer of state-of-the-art helmets for motorsport. The completion of the Sakhir HQ extension is another key step in this very successful alliance'.

Following the Mumtalakat investment, he continues, 'we can announce the start of construction of a second plant in Sakhir. It will be a strategic asset to increase the overall production of components in the Omp range, another absolute benchmark in the racing world'.

For Sheikh Salman bin Isa Al Khalifa, Executive Director of the Bahrain international circuit, 'the completion of the extension of the Bell racing helmets factory and the start of work on the new Omp facility are two further milestones in the fruitful partnership with Racing Force. We are delighted to be able to support such historic and respected brands in the world of motorsport'.
