New Byd Atto 3, Beijing Motor Show debut for super-fast-charging SUV

Byd Atto 3 makes its debut at the Beijing Motor Show, scheduled to run from 24 April to 3 May, in a completely revamped guise. Not to be confused with the Evo launched in Italia in February, the Atto 3 presented at Auto China 2026 will for now be sold exclusively on the domestic market. The main novelty comes from the integration of Flash Charging technology, capable of changing the concept of charging thanks to a declared maximum power of up to 1,500 kW. According to the manufacturer, the system makes it possible to go from 10 to 70 per cent in five minutes and to 97 per cent in less than ten.

Characterised by a style with tighter lines, the Byd Atto 3 grows noticeably in almost all dimensions. It is 4,665 millimetres long, i.e. 21 centimetres longer. Width increases to 1,895 millimetres, height to 1,675 and the wheelbase to 2,770 millimetres, an increase of 50 millimetres.

On the motorisation front, two engines are planned for the Chinese market. The single motor version produces 272 horsepower and is coupled to a 57.5 kWh Lfp battery, for a range of 540 km in the Cltc cycle. The dual motor, with four-wheel drive, rises to 326 horsepower, uses a 68.5 kWh battery, and promises 630 km of range.
